Privacy Policy

This is the privacy notice of Smartvox UK.

Except as set out below, Smartvox UK does not share, sell or disclose information collected about our customers with any third parties:

We may aggregate anonymous data such as statistical or demographic data for internal use. Anonymous data is data that does not identify you as an individual. Aggregated data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal information in law because it does not reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate profile data to assess interest in a product or service. Sometimes, we must process your information in order to comply with a statutory obligation.

From time to time we might contact past and current customers to advise them of important business information such as a change of business address, availability of our services or pricing structure. Our current marketing campaigns are all passive – i.e. you are welcome to search in Google or visit our Facebook page where you can choose to read what you find or not. Smartvox UK does not send out marketing emails or make speculative phone calls designed to boost sales.

We make every effort to keep customer data secure. Backups are generally kept on physical media which are stored securely at UK premises. Some secondary backups may be stored off-site on cloud based servers, in which case every effort is made to ensure those servers are based in the UK or EU regions or that the data are encrypted before transfer to the cloud. We take reasonable precautions when carrying customer-related data away from the business premises (for example when travelling), including the use of encrypted memory sticks.

The Smartvox web site and knowledgebase/blog both use Google Analytics to gather anonymous data so we can get general trend reports to allow us to analyse which pages get the most visits and whether the number of visits is going up, or down or is steady. This allows us to understand our audience’s main areas of interest and know what type of information is most likely to be of interest in the future.

If you have any questions about this policy; or if any past or present customer wishes to know what data we hold about them or their business; or if you are a past or current customer of Smartvox and would like us to delete some or all of the data we hold about you or your business, please contact John Quick on info (at) smartvox.co.uk
